Role Overview
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Retail Excellence Manager, the Retail Training Manager is responsible for spearheading training programs across the SEAO region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand. The role focuses on ensuring that retail staff at all levels possess the skills, knowledge, and motivation needed to support company goals and embody its values.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify competency gaps and training requirements to design programs aligned with business goals.
- Plan, deliver, and oversee management, retail, and product training efficiently and on schedule.
- Evaluate training outcomes to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.
- Manage training logistics, administration, and budgeting processes.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for retail, office personnel, and partners with a professional approach.
- Train store-based trainers and develop in-store training toolkits.
- Perform routine in-store coaching, report observations, suggest solutions, and collaborate with store managers for follow-up actions.
- Enhance customer experience metrics such as NPS and mystery shopping results through targeted training initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Training Team to implement local training programs.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 years of practical experience in training and development, ideally in retail or hospitality sectors.
- Strong skills in needs analysis, training program design, facilitation, and delivery.
- Confident, mature, optimistic, and skilled at engaging diverse teams across cultures and hierarchy levels.
- Independent, well-organized, and persuasive with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Passionate about nurturing a learning culture and talent growth.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
- Competent with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Flexible working hours depending on event involvement.
