Retail Storekeeper

Job Overview

The retail storekeeper plays a vital role in supporting store operations by managing inventory movement, storage, and documentation to ensure efficient stock control and timely availability of products.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transfer orders and merchandise to maintain appropriate store inventory levels
• Handle purchase returns by processing and correctly documenting returned goods
• Receive deliveries, verify goods, and update inventory records promptly
• Send items out for servicing with proper tracking to ensure timely returns
• Keep stock areas clean and organized for easy access and retrieval
• Inform store personnel about stock status to assist in managing inventory decisions
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements through documentation and filing
• Conduct backroom stock take reports and resolve any discrepancies found

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic proficiency in spoken and written English communication
• Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic retail environment
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, public holidays, and variable hours
• Physically capable of safely handling heavy and bulky items

Work Schedule and Conditions

• Shift options: Morning (9:30 am - 5:30 pm), Afternoon (2 pm - 10 pm), Z-Shift (12 pm - 8 pm), or Full Shift (9:30 am - 10 pm)
• Six off days each calendar month
• Probation period of 3 months

Compensation and Benefits

• Basic monthly salary ranging from $1900 to $2000
• Additional Public Holiday Allowance of $100
• Attendance Allowance of $60 after confirmation
• 10 days annual leave upon completion of a full calendar year
