Retail Merchandiser

Overview

Aline Greeting Cards is looking for a retail merchandiser to support merchandising activities across retail locations in Hay River, Northwest Territories. This is a permanent, on-site role in a retail business environment, with work carried out at various locations.

What you will do

• Position products in line with the store or brand planogram.
• Keep in regular contact with suppliers to support product flow and availability.
• Monitor inventory and make sure stock levels remain sufficient.
• Coordinate the movement and delivery of merchandise to retail outlets.
• Assist customers and provide basic service when needed.

What the role needs

• No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
• Prior experience is not necessary; training will be provided.
• Comfort using the internet and Microsoft Outlook.
• Access to a personal vehicle, personal transportation, and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to handle a fast-moving, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and repetitive work.
• Capability to manage heavy loads, remain on your feet for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and sound judgement.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility, initiative, efficiency in working with others, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Analytical thinking skills.

Work conditions

• Work may involve early morning, morning, and daytime shifts.
• The job can require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, including extended periods of standing.
