Research Facilitator

Role Overview

The Research Facilitator will provide expert advice on research governance and study cost management, assisting the Research Governance Lead in efficiently setting up studies. This includes collaborating closely with sponsors, clinicians, support services, and managers to secure timely approvals and initiation of research projects.

Based at Two Bridges, Chertsey, the role also demands attendance at various events and meetings throughout the Trust’s service area and clinical trial partner locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance, regulatory, and administrative tasks related to clinical research, ensuring compliance with Health Research Authority (HRA) standards, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and UK Clinical Trials Regulations.
• Support study setup, approvals processing, costing analysis, data management, and reporting activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date research documentation, assisting in audits and inspections.
• Provide administrative support such as organizing meetings, financial tracking, database upkeep, and facilitating communication among researchers, clinical teams, and external stakeholders.
