Research Assistant - Evaluative Clinical Sciences (Casual)

About the Role

Sunnybrook Research Institute is looking to recruit a casual Research Assistant to work under the guidance of Dr. Antoine (Tony) Eskander, a head and neck oncologist affiliated with multiple institutions including Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto. The incumbent will support clinical research focused on head and neck cancers.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and review clinical data related to head and neck cancers from the SunnyCare electronic patient record system.
• Enter collected data into REDCap databases with accuracy.
• Perform quality checks on data entered to ensure precision and completeness.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or a closely related field.
• Have at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Understand medical terminology sufficiently to accurately interpret clinical information.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic data capture platforms, specifically REDCap.
• Exhibit strong organizational aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
• Be self-driven and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
• Show effective oral and written communication skills.
• Have access to a computer and demonstrate competent computer skills.
