About the Role
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week based in Bedford with hybrid working arrangements. Initially, you'll be office-based to receive training before transitioning to a flexible hybrid schedule agreed with the Scheduling Team Leader. The role includes a late shift from home between 12pm and 8pm, and one week every four requires working a half day on a weekday and a half day on a Saturday; the company offers flexibility on this schedule.
Role Summary
Join bpha's newly established in-house repairs & maintenance service as a Repairs Scheduler, where your scheduling expertise will directly impact customers' quality of life and satisfaction with their homes. You'll coordinate the deployment of tradespeople and subcontractors, optimizing daily workloads to enhance first-time fixes and minimize travel, thereby reducing customer disruption through thoughtful planning and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure smooth scheduling.
- Allocate the appropriate personnel to each repair job efficiently and accurately.
- Prioritize maximizing first-time repair success and minimizing unnecessary travel.
- Plan scheduling to reduce disturbance for customers, maintaining clear communication throughout.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in logistical planning or a comparable scheduling role.
- Organized work approach, positive mindset, and strong time management skills.
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service with empathy and consideration.
- Knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficient communication and information technology abilities.
Working Pattern
This hybrid role involves office-based work during the training phase, transitioning into a mix of home and office work as agreed. The schedule includes a late shift from home (12pm–8pm) and one out of every four weeks requires half-day shifts on weekday and Saturday, with flexibility offered.
