Refrigeration Trailer Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a dependable and skilled Refrigeration Trailer Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on refrigeration systems installed in refrigerated trailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigerated trailers and their refrigeration units.
• Identify and fix faults in electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, sensors, and control units.
• Repair leaks in refrigerant lines and recharge refrigeration systems as needed.
• Carry out routine servicing tasks including changing oil and filters.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and specialized software to detect equipment problems.
• Keep detailed records of inspections and repairs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology.
• Between two to five years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Prior experience working with Thermo King or Carrier Transicold refrigeration units is advantageous.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting control systems.
