Building Blocks Facades is innovating architectural design by utilizing advanced materials such as Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC), Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), and sophisticated façade technologies. The company excels in delivering iconic and high-performance building envelopes internationally, including across the U.S.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform precise quantity take-offs from 2D drawings, BIM models, and specifications for materials like GRC, UHPC, GRP, GRG, glass, aluminum, structural steel, and related façade systems.
• Assist in developing comprehensive budgets, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and cost plans encompassing design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, installation, temporary works, and overall project overhead.
• Analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, and BOQs; prepare tender queries and develop comprehensive commercial proposals, pricing schedules, assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and supporting documents tailored to client needs.
• Manage procurement processes by issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), evaluating supplier and subcontractor bids, preparing commercial comparisons, negotiating prices, and maintaining supplier cost databases.
• Handle contract administration tasks: interim valuations, variations, change orders, payment applications, final accounts, and project cost monitoring per contract terms.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering by evaluating alternative materials and construction methods; assess technical, commercial, and procurement risks during tendering and project phases.
• Coordinate with various teams including Design & Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning, QA/QC, and Project Management to ensure alignment on technical and commercial fronts throughout project lifecycle.
• Maintain thorough reporting and documentation such as quantity records, cost reports, procurement logs, variation registers, tender documentation, and commercial records; contribute to continuous process enhancements.
• Undertake additional quantity surveying, commercial, and contract-related responsibilities as delegated by senior management.

Required Technical Skills

• Expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ creation, cost planning, and commercial estimation.
• Strong proficiency interpreting architectural, structural, façade, and engineering drawings along with BIM models.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and industry-standard quantity surveying or estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Rhino).
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement processes, tendering, contract administration, commercial reporting, and cost control.
• Knowledge of façade systems such as GRC, UHPC, GRP, GRG, glass, aluminum, and structural steel components.
