Job Summary
Join LPL’s Global Capability Center in Hyderabad as a Senior Test Engineer passionate about software automation testing. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams encompassing hardware, firmware, software, and system engineers to develop and integrate advanced technologies at a leading financial services company. Your role involves developing end-to-end automation solutions linking the Advisor Platform, Investor Platform, and internal teammates. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you will define features, develop and automate test cases, enhance product quality, and accelerate deployment cycles from development to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies such as PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Defect Reviews, Sprint Demos, and Retrospectives; lead sessions when needed.
- Participate in story grooming, thoroughly analyze and comprehend user story acceptance criteria.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans and cases derived from user stories ensuring thorough coverage.
- Conduct testing within sprints including service/API, integration, end-to-end, regression, build certification, and release day validations.
- Automate tests leveraging internal and open-source tools and automation infrastructure.
- Review user interfaces for compliance with functionality and design standards.
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand the product architecture, integrations, and features.
- Develop and maintain data scenarios that support test plans and scenarios effectively.
- Analyze test outcomes, champion quality throughout the development lifecycle, and report defects to closure.
- Deliver project status updates regularly to stakeholders.
- Operate proficiently within Agile/Scrum frameworks delivering high-quality software continuously.
- Write advanced queries for data validation and quality assurance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more functional domains, acting as an ambassador for automation and efficient solution development.
- Lead efforts toward process and technology improvement including KPIs and OKRs in quality engineering to enhance engineering productivity, speed, and quality.
- Adapt and excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments demanding resourcefulness, determination, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a proactive and positive approach completing assignments with minimal oversight.
- Provide leadership in release management and project delivery processes.
- Drive quality improvement strategies, embracing shift-left testing philosophies to boost product quality early in the development cycle.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree plus 5+ years professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in roles such as Developer, QA Engineer, or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
- Extensive experience in testing methodologies, processes, tools, and technology frameworks.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) concepts and practical experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks including but not limited to Appium, Selenium, TestNG, BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, and Playwright.
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as C#, Java, JavaScript, or .Net.
- Experience in API and Web Service testing and automation.
- Strong SQL skills with ability to compose complex queries and understand data validation intricacies.
