Quality Assurance Manager

Overview

Vallum Associates partners with Europe's leading full building envelope contractor, specializing in high-profile construction projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe. These projects support major technology, life sciences, critical infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing sectors. The Quality Assurance Manager role is based on-site in Blanchardstown and involves ownership of all QA activities related to building envelope works.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and enforce Quality Assurance procedures throughout the data center project, ensuring adherence to approved standards, specifications, and contract terms.
• Manage QA documentation utilizing Procore software to maintain thorough and consistent quality records.
• Supervise the quality of roofing, cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen, and door installation works on site.
• Administer QA checks including First-Off-Checks (FOKs), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and roof/cladding system verifications.
• Monitor air seal installations with photographic and written proof.
• Lead the 3-stage handover process (completion, snagging, close-out) and track the status of zones comprehensively.
• Engage daily with Project Managers, Site Managers, and client QA teams to preemptively address risks and schedule impacts.
• Maintain comprehensive QA records in Procore, including images, inspection reports, and official approvals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through lessons learned and subcontractor quality evaluations.
• Participate actively in coordination and progress meetings with Main Contractors and clients.
• Ensure contractual safeguards are upheld through meticulous record keeping.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3-5 years experience in on-site QA/QC roles within construction, preferably related to building envelopes.
• Strong technical expertise in installing roofing, cladding, curtain walling, and façade systems.
• Proficiency with QA documentation platforms such as Procore or equivalents.
• Quality management certification (CQE, CQM) is an advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset on site.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational capabilities to liaise across multiple teams.
• Valid driving license with readiness to travel extensively across Europe.
• Knowledge of BIM and modern construction tech is beneficial.
