Position Overview
The Quality Analyst specializing in Value Based Care is tasked with managing, analyzing, and reporting data essential to quality measurement and improvement initiatives. This role supports Value Based Care and Population Health programs by generating detailed reports, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and contract performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality measures such as HEDIS, CMS, and those applicable to Value Based Care.
- Prepare comprehensive quality metric reports and detailed member-level data sets for healthcare providers.
- Generate monthly reports on membership, utilization, patient outcomes, and associated quality indicators.
- Analyze and adapt data to inform decision-making and optimize processes.
- Develop detailed member reports to support patient engagement strategies.
- Utilize electronic health records systems to query and extract data effectively.
- Validate and analyze data extracted from multiple information systems, resolving any inconsistencies.
- Support ongoing data validation and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Maintain and update performance trackers and reporting instruments.
- Monitor care gaps and assist with action plans aimed at improving healthcare quality metrics.
- Perform chart audits, abstractions, and quality validations to support clinical data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with the ELLIE Healthy Planet team to ensure data accuracy.
- Test, refine, and implement workflow improvements within the quality department.
- Assist with special projects related to quality improvement objectives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations of findings using PowerPoint and other tools to diverse stakeholders.
- Engage in payer meetings concerning quality reporting requirements.
- Work alongside leadership to identify and pursue opportunities for quality enhancements.
- Communicate report outcomes and insights effectively to all relevant parties.
Candidate Qualifications
- Educational background requiring at least a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No specific licensures or certifications mandated.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly a foundational to intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- Previous experience collaborating in provider education and teamwork is preferred.
