Job Responsibilities
- Oversee procurement operations for purchased components involved in railway bogie frames, covering a range of parts including castings, forgings, machined components, piping and pipe fittings, and fabricated assemblies.
- Evaluate and select vendors for the procurement of bogie frame components, adhering strictly to company policies and quality requirements.
- Source materials competitively to balance cost efficiency with quality and ensure punctual delivery schedules.
- Establish and nurture strong supplier relationships, skillfully negotiate contracts, and secure advantageous procurement terms.
- Monitor supplier performance regularly focusing on quality, delivery time, and cost, and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Utilize the Indian Railways Vendor Directory to identify suppliers that meet approved source criteria applicable to different bogie projects.
Required Skills
- Proven negotiation capabilities to foster and sustain productive supplier partnerships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset with strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration across various departments.
- Knowledge of Indian Railways Vendor Directory and competency in identifying approved suppliers for bogie-related projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
