About the Role
We are seeking a Project Support Officer to contribute to a significant programme within the UK utilities sector. This initial contract spans three months with an expectation for extension, allowing involvement in a long-term project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist multiple project workstreams with support tasks.
- Keep project plans, relevant documentation, RAID logs, and reports current and accurate.
- Manage scheduling of meetings, follow-up on action items, and support governance frameworks.
- Monitor progress of projects, including identifying risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide assistance to Project Managers in planning, reporting, and administrative duties.
- Engage regularly with internal stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in roles such as Project Support Officer, Project Coordinator, or Project Administrator.
- Background in water, utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project governance principles and lifecycle stages.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management platforms like MS Project or SharePoint.
Contract Information
- Daily pay rate of £270 (Inside IR35 regulations apply).
- Initial term of three months with prospects for ongoing renewal.
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring presence in Reading office three days per week.
