Role Overview
The Project Planner will take a key role in planning, scheduling, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is available to project teams and stakeholders. This position, based in Ireland, operates primarily on a hybrid model, blending onsite presence with remote work to accomplish designated tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project schedules to reflect real-time progress and changes.
- Update project progress data consistently and analyze any delays or variances.
- Support project reporting and delay analysis activities to assist project management.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and project control specialists to monitor risks, resource distribution, and adherence to key milestones.
- Develop clear reports and presentation materials that aid client decision-making processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of planning tools and methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in planning and scheduling, with strong project timeline development skills.
- Analytical proficiency to interpret project data, identify trends, and assist with delay or variance evaluations.
- Experience with project control processes, including progress measurement, risk tracking, and performance reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities to convey complex information effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Relevant background in construction, infrastructure, or a related industry, with consulting experience considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project, alongside advanced MS Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work setting and meet key deadlines efficiently.
- Possession of a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with project management methods, contract administration, and claims processes is a plus.
