Overview
NHS Forth Valley invites applications for the role of Project Manager to oversee capital investment projects in line with the organization's Population Health & Care Strategy. This strategic position demands managing various construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with health care service delivery needs.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead multiple capital projects from initiation through to completion, applying consistent project management and risk mitigation techniques. They will coordinate with design consultants and contractors, managing stakeholder engagement throughout. Familiarity with Scottish Government infrastructure planning and capital investment processes is essential. The role includes regular travel within the service delivery area.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants will hold a degree or equivalent professional experience, preferably with exposure to NHS Scotland capital projects. Experience with diverse contract types and robust knowledge of project and risk management methodologies are crucial. Strong communication skills and the ability to function both independently and collaboratively are required.
Additional Information
This role requires completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check. From April 2026, the full-time working week is reduced to 36 hours with a proportional hourly rate increase, preserving overall pay.
