Role Overview
The Project Manager position within the Enterprise PMO team is pivotal in driving high-impact cross-functional projects that determine the organization’s future. Your scope will include IT implementations, process enhancements, and business-driven initiatives that align with strategic objectives. Responsibilities include integrated planning, risk and change management, as well as stakeholder engagement to ensure project success.
Core Duties
- Lead projects that support organizational strategic priorities and enterprise goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Enterprise PMO Director to synchronize project efforts with overarching strategies.
- Foster collaboration across different business units, operating companies, and IT teams to secure resources and clarify roles.
- Organize integrated planning meetings to coordinate seamless execution across departments.
- Create and execute comprehensive change management plans affecting business processes, technology, or structure.
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions to facilitate adoption of new solutions.
- Maintain clear communication to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout project changes.
- Promote adaptability and continuous improvement within project teams.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations, including updates for steering committees and sponsors.
- Escalate risks and issues proactively to support informed decision-making.
- Champion ongoing improvement and operational excellence during and beyond projects.
- Design detailed project plans including Work Breakdown Structures and agile methodologies as applicable.
- Coordinate resource allocation with IT and business leaders while defining deliverables, schedules, and action plans.
- Manage project charter, business cases, organizational charts, and stakeholder lists to monitor and control projects effectively.
- Oversee project scope, timelines, costs, and budgets to meet objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive RAID logs to manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize project management tools to track progress and report status accurately.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Project Management certification (such as PMP or PRINCE2) preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a project manager within an enterprise PMO or similar setting, delivering both IT and business projects.
- Proven skills in integrated planning, risk management, and change management.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication abilities.
- Experience designing and implementing change management and training initiatives.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities in a collaborative, cross-functional atmosphere.
- Position located in Laval or Brampton, Canada.
