Job Overview
The role involves overseeing and reporting on project progress related to mechanical and electrical works, ensuring quality standards, coordinating various stakeholders, and supporting administrative processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and update the Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Project Director, client, and contractors on works progress.
- Participate actively in site inspections, progress, variation, coordination, and QA/QC meetings, including conducting audits to maintain high-quality standards.
- Support verification of contractors' reports and claims concerning civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, and M&E works.
- Assist the supervision team by addressing main contractor queries and streamlining coordination with multiple contractors on site.
- Engage with authorities and other stakeholders to secure all necessary work approvals prior to commencement.
- Help the client verify submissions from main and ancillary contractors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate any site-related issues, discrepancies, or irregularities to the OIC and contracting parties promptly.
- Prepare and support presentation materials for information sharing with clients, authorities, stakeholders, and interfaces.
- Prepare meeting minutes for various meetings and verify contractors' meeting records for accuracy.
- Perform additional duties including administrative tasks related to the project as directed by the client.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in construction projects involving mechanical and electrical systems of comparable scale and complexity.
- Possession of a recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines acceptable to the Officer-in-Charge.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within fast-paced project environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and proficient presentation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite with proven competency in preparing PowerPoint presentations.
