About the Role
Join a growing engineering consultancy based in Limerick, supporting capital projects in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors. This position focuses on overseeing installation, upgrades, and capital projects within a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering and enjoy leading projects from initial concept through to completion while collaborating with diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead equipment installation, upgrade, and modification projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate tasks to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality expectations.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, quality teams, and external vendors through various project phases.
- Create project plans, timelines, and budgets while tracking progress and addressing risks proactively.
- Manage procurement, installation, commissioning, and qualification of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with site safety policies, engineering protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise contractors and external suppliers during project implementation.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, compile reports, and update stakeholders on progress.
- Identify and promote opportunities for continuous improvement and adoption of engineering best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years experience in project engineering or management roles.
- Proven track record of delivering equipment installation, upgrade, or capital projects.
- Strong skills in project planning, organization, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or process manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities and problem-solving aptitude.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting tight project deadlines.
