Overview

NHS England is seeking a Band 6 Project Coordinator to join the Cyber Operations team and contribute to the delivery of the Secure Boundary service, a national cybersecurity initiative protecting NHS systems and sensitive patient data across a multi-supplier environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on project and program coordination supporting planning, tracking, and management of activities within a complex live service.
  • Support governance functions by maintaining precise project documentation, organizing meetings, tracking risks and issues, and ensuring orderly and effective service delivery.
  • Coordinate the Secure Boundary value-add catalogue, facilitating NHS organizations' adoption of the core service at no cost and enabling purchase of additional features, thereby promoting service uptake and value for money.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, supplier coordination, demand monitoring, and oversee financial processes tied to the catalogue to meet the programme's business case objectives.
  • Maintain project plans, trackers, and reporting to manage milestones, dependencies, risks, and actions during onboarding, transition, and service delivery phases.
  • Organize and document meetings and workshops, including capturing minutes and following up on action items to ensure accurate information capture and communication.
  • Support financial and business management activities including tracking expenditures, approvals, purchase orders, and invoice processing by collaborating with programme, finance, infrastructure, and supplier teams.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, prepare briefings related to organizational needs, and identify early delivery challenges to safeguard programme control and benefit realization.
