About the Project
The AU Udyogini Samridhi initiative seeks to empower women from vulnerable sections of western Rajasthan by fostering their growth as independent entrepreneurs. This project provides comprehensive training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital skills, enabling women to launch and sustain small businesses aligned with their interests. It supports women-led enterprises across both traditional and emerging sectors, reinforcing peer networks, enhancing market access, and facilitating banking connections to promote lasting economic advancement and autonomy.
Role Overview
The Project Coordinator will lead efforts to mobilize women in the community, encouraging their active participation in training and refresher programs while offering ongoing mentorship and support to help them succeed as entrepreneurs.
Key Duties and Tasks
- Mobilize communities through organizing group discussions, awareness drives, door-to-door outreach, and family meetings to identify and enlist women participants.
- Identify and gather women interested in entrepreneurship and select beneficiaries based on socio-economic vulnerability and entrepreneurial potential.
- Coordinate community-level launch events ensuring social acceptance of women entrepreneurs by their families and peers.
- Support organization of entrepreneurship training, business development, and financial literacy sessions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of beneficiary attendance and necessary records.
- Guide women beneficiaries and promote the formation and strengthening of peer entrepreneurial groups.
- Spot successful women entrepreneurs to inspire others to expand their ventures.
- Provide hands-on mentoring to women entrepreneurs in areas such as accounting, record keeping, shop presentation, and general business management.
- Conduct regular field visits to strengthen skills in account maintenance and shop display.
- Help entrepreneurs establish connections with dependable wholesalers and bulk purchasers.
- Collect monthly business data and maintain up-to-date management information system (MIS) reports.
- Facilitate community programs in collaboration with entrepreneurs.
- Monitor ongoing enterprise activities through regular visits and weekly progress tracking including bookkeeping assistance and problem solving.
- Gather monitoring and evaluation data including attendance, financial records, product presentations, shop branding, feedback, and success stories.
- Track continuous business performance metrics such as reinvestment, revenue, and income changes.
- Provide frequent updates on fieldwork progress, challenges, and achievements to the Project Manager.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate degree in any discipline.
- At least 4 to 5 years’ experience working in community development programs.
- Excellent skills in engaging with rural communities and working effectively in grassroots environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Proficient in computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage live data effectively, including geo-tagging and multimedia documentation like photographs and short videos for reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
The monthly salary ranges from Rs.33,000 to Rs.35,000 inclusive of employer benefits such as Provident Fund and Employee State Insurance according to applicable regulations.
Working Environment
This role requires adaptability to challenging field conditions with limited amenities and willingness to stay in basic accommodations. Employees should be prepared for relocation to a new project site every six months to support field operations.
Transportation Requirements
Applicants must possess a two-wheeler vehicle to facilitate regular field visits and ensure smooth project functioning. Fuel costs incurred during official tasks will be reimbursed per organizational policy.
