Production Scheduler

About the Role

As a Production Scheduler, you will play a vital role in supervising and managing complex production schedules to ensure product availability, quality, and efficiency. This position is based onsite in Vridhachalam, Tamil Nadu, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), production planning, and product availability to meet committed customer schedules.
• Analyze and resolve scheduling issues by recommending improvements to optimize production processes.
• Plan inventory levels optimally by collaborating with cross-functional teams to address product-related concerns while aligning with customer and business needs.
• Manage and oversee production schedules, monitor workflow, machine capacity, inventory, quality, and handle any operational constraints such as equipment breakdowns to drive operational excellence.

Educational and Experience Requirements

A degree or equivalent relevant experience is preferred for candidates interested in this role.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Attention to detail and accuracy: Ability to complete tasks precisely, using tools and methods to verify output and learn from errors.
• Data gathering and analysis: Understanding of data collection methods and the capability to synthesize information objectively from varied sources.
• Effective communication: Basic knowledge of communication principles, including non-verbal cues and business communication standards.
• Forecasting: Familiarity with demand forecasting techniques, tools, and relevant indexes to estimate production requirements.
• Problem-solving: Basic understanding of structured problem recognition, analysis, and resolution approaches, including escalation procedures.
• Process management: Ability to interpret process flows, differentiate processes from projects, and understand key business processes and improvement initiatives.
• Production scheduling and control: Knowledge of production control functions, scheduling challenges, and daily manufacturing practices that ensure quality outcomes.

Additional Information

• This role requires presence at the workplace five days per week.
