Production Planner

About the Role

A leading company in steel manufacturing, focusing on reinforcement materials and rebar production, is searching for an experienced Production Planner. This pivotal position is aimed at enhancing scheduling efficiency, improving machine utilization, boosting throughput, and ensuring timely delivery within a dynamic production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain efficient production schedules that align with operational goals.
• Balance production capacity with customer deadlines to optimize workflow.
• Create forward-looking production plans on weekly, monthly, and project-specific bases.
• Monitor and adapt schedules promptly to resolve constraints and prevent delays.
• Sequence manufacturing activities to maximize machine use and minimize changeover times.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement throughput improvements.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors to maintain a steady production flow.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date production records within ASA software.
• Provide clear communication regarding schedule changes and delivery timelines to customers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record as a Production Planner or Scheduler.
• Experience in manufacturing industries such as steel, rebar, or construction materials is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and capacity planning methodologies.
• Competency with ERP systems; experience with ASA software is especially valued.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
• A proactive approach focused on problem-solving and continuous process enhancement.
