Role Summary
The position of Product Application and Services Specialist supports the Simandou Project, Guinea, delivering customer service and product application expertise. Responsibilities include identifying service opportunities, conducting trials and audits, promoting carbide recycling, providing technical mentorship, and leading initiatives to sustain and grow business through technical knowledge and outstanding customer support.
Key Duties
- Assist customers and sales teams with troubleshooting and process enhancements.
- Conduct training sessions and create educational resources for both internal and external users.
- Test and validate research and development rock tool designs tailored for mining operations.
- Collaborate with product development teams to enhance product performance and innovate technology.
- Offer on-site technical advice to optimize drilling procedures and customer results.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and oversee field tools and equipment management.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and support materials for frontline teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, sharing product knowledge across the company.
- Manage customer contracts with accountability, ensuring delivery aligned with KPIs.
- Support field trials, assist with tool selection, participate in customer audits, and provide technical recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for improvements to boost customer satisfaction and brand loyalty in Rock Tools.
- Execute assigned TSSR duties and mentor junior team members.
- Undertake domestic and international travel to engage customers and collaborate with stakeholders in multidisciplinary teams driving business growth.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Earth Sciences, or relevant trade experience.
- Strong communication skills coupled with practical field experience and analytical thinking.
- Knowledgeable about mining and construction customer support, production workflows, and contract familiarity.
- Organizational skills aligned with understanding customer priorities.
- In-depth understanding of product manufacturing processes.

This role reports directly to the Project Manager.
