Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department, ensuring it is always presentable for customers.
• Perform regular product rotation and remove expired items to uphold freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure all produce items are correctly priced and labeled, adhering to procedures for ordering, markdowns, and signage.
• Comply with food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring and proper handling for perishables.
• Stock and remove merchandise as necessary, apply product protection, and set displays such as modulars and shelf caps.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and sanitary work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business requirements.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment, especially during overnight shifts.
• Maintain physical stamina required for standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing tasks with a consistent attention to detail to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.
