Job Responsibilities
- Assess architectural and interior designs including BOQs to determine precise material and quantity needs for procurement purposes.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors providing finishes, joinery products, and fit-out materials.
- Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), analyze technical and commercial proposals, and suggest the most suitable suppliers.
- Ensure materials quoted comply with design specifications, finishing schedules, and approved visual samples or mock-ups.
- Collaborate with design and on-site teams to address specification discrepancies, propose substitutions, and explore cost-saving value engineering opportunities.
- Monitor delivery timelines, material submittals, and lead times to align with project schedules.
- Update and manage vendor databases, pricing information, and the list of approved materials and suppliers.
- Create and manage purchase orders while tracking and reporting budget adherence and cost-related information.
- Provide technical liaison support by clarifying requirements with suppliers on behalf of the design or engineering teams.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture is mandatory.
- Between three to seven years of procurement experience is required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and interior drawings.
- Familiarity with specifications for fit-out materials, finishes, and joinery.
- Competent in AutoCAD or Revit for drawing reviews, alongside strong skills in MS Excel; experience with ERP or procurement software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Saudi and GCC supplier markets and local building and procurement regulations is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation abilities, vendor relationship management, and coordination with multiple teams.
- Fluent communication skills in English are necessary; Arabic proficiency is highly beneficial.
