An internationally reputed engineering and construction firm is expanding its Abu Dhabi team to manage technically demanding building projects within the UAE. This organization holds a strong position in the market with a consistent flow of projects in advanced technology, industrial, and commercial sectors.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Procurement Manager will oversee procuring subcontract packages and construction materials. The role demands ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and adhering to high commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle for subcontract works and material supplies.
• Formulate procurement strategies that align with project schedules and commercial goals.
• Prepare tender documents, assess bids, and lead commercial negotiations effectively.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Discover and onboard new supply chain partners to support upcoming projects.
• Collaborate intensively with Commercial, Planning, and Project teams to align procurement efforts with project needs.
• Continuously monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to obtain optimal value.
• Ensure procurement complies with corporate policies, contract terms, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of procurement experience in construction, including 5 years with tier one main contractors in the region.
• Demonstrated expertise managing procurement of subcontractors and materials on large building projects.
• Prior employment with a recognized main contractor or EPC contractor is essential.
• MEP experience preferred, although candidates with broader building projects exposure will be evaluated.
• Experience on complex projects such as data centers, high-tech, or industrial developments is advantageous.

• Ability to handle multiple procurement packages simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation

The salary offered ranges between 30,000 and 35,000 AED monthly, plus additional benefits.
