About the Role
DP World is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to support Procurement Managers and facilitate procurement operations across the organisation. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, managing supplier partnerships, supporting procurement procedures, and ensuring projects proceed according to plan. This position suits individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and want to contribute significantly to procurement success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, pricing, and reliability; maintain ongoing supplier relationships and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
- Manage procurement activities related to all project requirements, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking of all purchase orders (POs).
- Prepare and deliver monthly procurement reports to APAC Procurement Managers.
- Ensure procurement actions comply with organisational policies, legal standards, and sector regulations.
- Address and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices, collaborating with suppliers and finance teams for accurate billing.
- Develop comprehensive procurement reports for senior leadership, detailing key performance metrics, spending analysis, and supplier evaluations.
- Identify and propose opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and foster stronger supplier collaborations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement workflows, vendor relations, and contract negotiation techniques.
- Excellent skills in negotiation, contract drafting, and communication.
- Familiarity with contract management software and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good understanding of contract law and related legal terminology.
- Broad experience in supply chain management frameworks and computerized procurement systems.
