Procurement and Supply Chain Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a senior leader to oversee the entire supply function including procurement, supplier management, supply planning, ERP governance, analytics, and oversight of third-party logistics (3PL) performance. This dynamic role blends strategic leadership with direct execution, providing the opportunity to shape the supply roadmap while managing supplier negotiations, operational improvements, and driving excellence in processes. The role manages a complex portfolio of over 500 ingredient and packaging SKUs in a fast-moving environment focused on fresh food with weekly planning cycles, evolving menus, and short shelf-life items where quick decisions impact product availability, waste, and margins.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small supply chain team to enhance capability and performance.
• Manage sourcing, procurement activities, supplier negotiations, and contract management to optimize costs.
• Pursue supplier performance improvements and strategic sourcing projects.
• Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and optimize inventory to meet business needs.
• Ensure stock availability, manage product substitutions, and focus on minimizing waste across 500+ SKUs.
• Own ERP supply configurations, master data governance, and material requirements planning (MRP) processes.
• Produce supply chain analytics and reporting to inform business decisions.
• Administer 3PL partnerships, monitor logistics effectiveness, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
• Drive delivery-in-full-on-time (DIFOT) performance, freight cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with commercial, culinary, operations, technology, and finance teams to align supply with business strategies.
• Support product launches, promotions, margin targets, and enhance customer experience.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced in supplier management and sourcing with measurable improvements in cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Strong background in supply planning within fast-paced, demand-driven settings.
• Proven leadership capabilities with a history of building and managing small teams effectively.
• Experienced managing third-party logistics partnerships and enhancing service levels.
• Demonstrates sound commercial intuition combined with operational excellence.
• Capable of strategic thinking while maintaining a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
• Experience in fresh food, meal kits, or similarly complex categories with short shelf-life is highly desirable.
