Role overview
This is a contract-based remote opportunity for a Privacy Annotation Specialist. The work focuses on reviewing legal and compliance documents, identifying personal identifiable information (PII), and supporting privacy-focused data labeling within legal investigation workflows.
Compensation is set at $105 to $140 per hour, with an expected commitment of 10 to 40 hours each week.
Key responsibilities
- Examine sensitive legal records and tag personal identifiable information and confidential material accurately.
- Apply knowledge of contract review and eDiscovery practices to produce reliable, high-quality annotations.
- Check OCR results carefully and verify that extracted data is correct and complete.
- Work alongside compliance and legal technology teams to uphold privacy and information governance standards.
- Run quality control reviews and batch audits to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Share conclusions and suggestions with different teams in a clear, practical way.
Candidate profile
- Applicants should bring strong, relevant experience in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, and compliance-related work.
- A solid understanding of PII and privacy regulations is required.
- Prior exposure to organizations such as Consilio, Epiq, Relativity, KLDiscovery, or TransPerfect is considered an advantage.
- Suitable backgrounds include Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead.
- Experience in legal document review, litigation support, or managed legal services is necessary.
- The role calls for a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data in high-pressure environments.
