Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of telecommunications transmission and network systems such as SDH, DWDM, OTN, and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Develop comprehensive engineering solutions spanning all phases of projects from initial concept through to commissioning delivery.
• Prepare key technical documentation including system specifications, architecture diagrams, detailed calculations, and Bills of Materials (BoM).
• Design and integrate diverse telecom elements encompassing telephony systems (VoIP/PABX), SCADA, and local/wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
• Provide support for telecommunications infrastructure utilized in pipelines, industrial plants, and monitoring systems.
• Offer technical leadership and oversight during project execution phases, including installation and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and client representatives to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.
• Adhere to compliance requirements based on client standards such as those from Saudi Aramco and recognized international telecommunications standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communications, or a closely related engineering field.
• At least 14 to 16 years of professional experience specifically in telecommunications engineering focused on transmission systems.
• Demonstrated expertise with SDH, DWDM, OTN, fiber optic technologies, and telecom network design methodologies.
• Experience working on communication projects within oil & gas or industrial sectors, with preference for familiarity with Aramco standards.
• Working knowledge of SCADA systems, LAN/WAN networking, VoIP, and unified communication platforms.
• Proficiency with telecommunications design tools such as Visio and MicroStation.
• Relevant certifications or professional engineering registrations are advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills complemented by excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
