Role Overview
This senior leadership position focuses on directing the evolution of mobile user experiences and shared product infrastructure. The Principal Product Manager will devise and implement strategies, roadmaps, and feature launches for mobile capabilities while ensuring unification of experience across multiple platforms. The role integrates product vision with platform design, design systems, and technical innovation, working closely with engineering teams to develop scalable foundations for accelerated product development.
Additionally, as AI continues to reshape software creation and user interaction, this role champions the development of intuitive experiences tailored to both end users and product creators.
Significant ownership and influence over a growing SaaS product at scale are inherent in this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the mobile product, converting business objectives into tangible, executable product plans.
- Determine direction for design systems, frontend frameworks, and shared navigation standards to foster a consistent user interface.
- Ensure alignment between mobile and shared product foundations to maintain cohesive experiences across platforms.
- Guide the progression of shared systems to accommodate both human teams and AI-enhanced product development processes.
- Implement governance protocols to balance speed and quality for teams utilizing shared infrastructure.
- Develop persuasive business cases for foundational investments by assessing opportunities, trade-offs, and long-term benefits.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to steer decisions about architecture, scalability, and technical priorities.
- Advance product methodologies by imparting clear structure and strategic insight to complex cross-team projects.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in B2B SaaS product management, including at least 2 years in senior-level roles such as Staff or Principal Product Manager.
- Demonstrable history of managing and launching impactful mobile products that improved user engagement, retention, or business metrics.
- Background in managing platform products including shared systems, design systems, or infrastructure-centered initiatives.
- Strong technical proficiency to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on system architecture and trade-offs.
- Competent in crafting strategy for complex, ambiguous problems and leading execution across various teams.
- Proven cross-functional leadership skills, capable of influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Excellent communication capabilities to distill complex subjects and unify stakeholder views.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for product development acceleration, prototyping, automation, or workflow optimization.
- Ability to excel in a fully remote working environment with a high degree of ownership and independence.
