Overview
The Big Data Analytics Center (BIDAC) at United Arab Emirates University aims to advance research, training, and consulting services in big data analytics, providing integrated platform solutions both locally and globally. Its key mission is to perform pioneering research and deliver technical expertise to enhance the operations of public and private organizations.
Role Summary
BIDAC invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellows specializing in Data Science. Suitable candidates must demonstrate an outstanding research portfolio in big data analytics, data science, or machine learning. The role demands excellent analytical skills, effective communication, the capacity to merge technological knowledge with business goals, and innovative problem-solving for complex data challenges. Publishing research outcomes in renowned forums is essential.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
- Research publications in prominent journals and conferences.
- Experience with big data infrastructures and advanced machine learning techniques including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Proficiency in programming languages, notably Python.
- Working knowledge of technologies like cloud computing, distributed systems, Hadoop, Spark, and MapReduce.
- Background in deploying machine learning models.
- Skills in writing grant proposals and a track record of patent filings.
