PMO Analyst

About the Role

We represent a partner organization seeking a PMO Analyst based in the United Kingdom. This role entails supporting strategic transformation programs by converting plans into tangible outcomes through structured analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder partnership.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, scrutinize, and interpret program and portfolio data to aid strategic choices.
• Assist in portfolio planning, prioritization, governance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations highlighting project status, risk factors, opportunities, and performance indicators.
• Monitor achievement of benefits and support initiatives in delivering measurable business value.
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and activities across multiple projects.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of PMO frameworks, templates, processes, and tools.
• Help manage project schedules, resource allocation, reporting, and accurate project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes and suggest efficiency-boosting solutions.
• Support change management by coordinating communication, updates, and adoption strategies among stakeholders.
• Develop documentation, playbooks, and knowledge bases to improve alignment across teams.
• Maintain PMO repositories ensuring accuracy and ease of access.
• Participate in retrospectives to drive continuous improvement suggestions.
• Collaborate closely with consultants, project leads, and clients to facilitate successful program delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 3 to over 6 years in project management, PMO support, portfolio management, or related areas.
• Experience in consulting, transformation initiatives, or managing complex projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in data analysis, metrics tracking, reporting, and visualization.
• Proficient in project and portfolio management software such as Planview, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, Power BI or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of project methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to maintain both high attention to detail and focus on strategic objectives.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple priorities effectively under deadline pressure.
• Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and improvement mindset.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
• Preferred certifications: PMP, CAPM or equivalent project management credentials.
• Familiarity with transformation frameworks or methodologies considered advantageous.
