Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and meticulous Planning & Reporting Engineer to contribute to our road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least eight years of experience specializing in planning, scheduling, and project control within expansive infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, or transportation sectors.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
  • Strong familiarity with project planning methods like CPM scheduling, Earned Value Management, forecasting, and risk evaluations.
  • Expertise in generating Level 3 and Level 4 schedules, resource-loaded plans, and progress reporting systems.
  • Skillful in analyzing scheduling data to assemble detailed executive reports and presentations.
  • Valuable experience in delay analysis, claims handling, and Extension of Time submissions is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, communication capabilities, and adeptness in managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English.
  • Preferably, prior involvement in projects in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and oversee thorough project timelines encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Develop baseline plans, revised schedules, recovery timelines, and near-term forecasts utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Measure actual project progress against approved schedules, detecting any deviations, delays, or impacts on critical path activities.
  • Perform Critical Path Method analysis, evaluate progress and productivity, and monitor project performance.
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and on-demand progress updates for management, clients, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain project dashboards, key performance indicators, S-Curves, manpower histograms, equipment usage logs, and financial forecasting models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, commercial, construction) to guarantee accurate progress tracking and reporting.
  • Execute Earned Value Management analyses and advise on measures to enhance project outcomes.
  • Assist with delay investigations, Extension of Time claims, and compliance with contractual project controls.
  • Track contract milestones, foresee scheduling risks, and propose mitigation approaches.
  • Engage in meetings with clients, consultants, and management to present updates on planning and progress.
  • Ensure adherence to project control protocols, reporting standards, and organizational policies.
