Job Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for a specific group of employees including all related tasks before and after payroll activities.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable contact for employees on payroll-related questions and issues.
  • Collaborate closely with neighboring HR departments and internal interfaces.
  • Communicate with social security agencies and other authorities.
  • Handle issues related to time management and corresponding payroll aspects.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and evaluate and implement payroll-relevant matters.
  • Support operational HR matters for the Essen plant.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Completed commercial training, such as industrial or office clerk, or an equivalent background.
  • Significant professional experience in payroll accounting, ideally in a manufacturing company with collective agreements.
  • Strong numerical skills and expertise in relevant legal regulations on payroll tax and social security law.
  • Practical experience using IT payroll systems and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Strong service orientation and process-oriented thinking and behavior.
  • Enjoys collegial teamwork and contributes through structured and assertive work style.
  • Very good command of German and good English language skills.
