Job description
Position Overview
Are you passionate about working with numbers and knowledgeable about labor and social security laws? Do you want to take responsibility for smooth payroll processing in an international high-tech security and system technology company based in Kassel? We are looking forward to meeting you!
This is a long-term full-time position (40 hours per week) initially filled on a test-and-hire basis, with a view toward permanent employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including time management, for a designated group of employees.
- Serve as a knowledgeable contact for employees, managers, and HR on topics such as income tax, social security, labor law, and collective agreements.
- Handle complex payroll matters including company pension plans, phased retirement, company cars, garnishments, and international assignments.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, the works council, and external agencies, and actively contribute to payroll-related projects.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and take charge of special payroll topics such as pension adjustments and other relevant processes as an experienced payroll specialist or payroll accountant.
Qualifications
- Completed commercial apprenticeship with several years of experience in payroll accounting.
- Deep expertise in labor law, wage tax, social security, and collective bargaining regulations.
- Proficient use of SAP HCM, MS Office, and electronic reporting systems such as ELSTER, DEÜV, and EEL.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Structured, precise, and responsible working style; able to maintain overview during busy periods.
