Role Overview
RMI Global Solutions is looking for a committed Patient Advocate to facilitate and oversee patients' access to local medical services under indirect oversight. This position acts as the central representative of RMI at third-party healthcare providers, ensuring operational and compassionate support to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Be accessible during predetermined working hours for communication with the RMI Global Coordination Centre (GCC).
- Rapidly respond and arrive at designated medical locations within one hour (or agreed timeframe) after notification to assist RMI patients.
- Coordinate with the GCC to finalize payment methods with medical institutions and mediate when necessary.
- Promote prompt access to medical care by applying practical and professional problem-solving skills.
- Provide oral and written translation from local dialects to English to assist GCC communications.
- Conduct daily visits to medical facilities for patients with extended inpatient stays to oversee their well-being, comfort, and understanding of treatments.
- Develop collaborative relationships with treating doctors to collect current information and relay verbal and written updates to the GCC swiftly.
- Maintain professionalism and composure while interacting with client management and use local insight to facilitate additional required services.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Patient Advocate within the relevant operational area is required.
- Experience in patient advocacy specifically in the oil and gas or industrial sectors and knowledge of case management practices are preferred.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office software and computer systems generally.
- Holding a valid driver’s license for the operational region is advantageous.

- Maintaining physical fitness and readiness might be mandatory for continued employment.
- Consistent interaction with varying group sizes requires good hearing and speaking capabilities.
