Job description

Role Overview

The Offshore Liaisonman plays a pivotal role in managing the coordination of personnel, logistics, documentation, and communications for both rig and non-rig offshore operations. This position is essential in facilitating the seamless mobilization and demobilization of offshore staff, ensuring adherence to client specifications, and maintaining effective collaboration among offshore teams, onshore support units, marine logistics, and client liaisons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the scheduling and execution of offshore personnel mobilization and demobilization, strictly following client timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact among clients, offshore platforms, marine logistics providers, helicopter operators, and internal departments to guarantee uninterrupted offshore operations.
  • Plan and organize offshore travel arrangements such as helicopter and vessel bookings, crew change logistics, and transport coordination.
  • Manage and update all offshore documentation including gate passes, permits, manifests, travel requests, and client authorization forms.
  • Verify that all personnel have valid offshore certifications and medical clearances prior to deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with Human Resources, Operations, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Logistics, and Marine departments to address manpower planning and requirements.
  • Keep accurate and current records of offshore crew rotations and personnel movements.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for various offshore rig and non-rig projects.
  • Promptly follow up on client requests, approvals, and operational paperwork to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with offshore installations to promptly address any logistical or personnel challenges.
  • Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports concerning offshore manpower and logistical activities.
  • Uphold all company policies, client contractual obligations, and offshore safety regulations.
  • Offer assistance during emergency crew rotations and urgent mobilizations when required.

Qualification Requirements

  • Extensive understanding of offshore crew change protocols and mobilization processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal coordination abilities.
  • Capacity to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational aptitude and expertise in document management.
  • Knowledgeable about offshore travel logistics, helicopter scheduling, and maritime transport coordination.
  • Familiarity with offshore health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and compliance requirements.
  • Fluent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus.
