Nursery Housekeeper - Reading

About the Role

Join Kido Reading Nursery & Preschool as a Nursery Housekeeper, where you will represent the company values and nurture a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the children are provided with healthy meals throughout the day, alongside promoting and communicating nutritious menus to children and parents alike. This position is full-time, with an annual salary ranging from £26,463 to £27,000 for a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the nursery's appearance to be inviting and organized for visitors and inspections.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the nursery, including laundry, waste removal, and appropriate storage of deliveries.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation and regulations such as EHO and COSHH.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, remove clutter, and keep floors safe and tidy.
• Promote excellent hygiene and uphold safeguarding policies consistently.
• Support a culture focused on safety, well-being, and protection of children.
• Collaborate with team members on additional tasks to foster an inclusive environment.
• Communicate effectively to manage and order stock promptly.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience or interest in early years settings or housekeeping within a nursery environment.
• Commitment to maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow safeguarding policies and escalate concerns properly.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain the nursery’s physical environment.
• Willingness to work full-time onsite at Kido Reading, 60 Bath Rd, Reading RG30 2AY.
