About the Role
The Treasury department at Sparkasse Chemnitz handles key aspects such as liquidity, risk management, strategy, and financial control. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all treasury processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Analyze interest rate, credit, and liquidity risks to support business and risk strategy development.
- Participate in treasury and Depot-A management, oversee proprietary investments, and prepare financial analyses and reports.
- Lead credit approval for trading and proprietary investments, including annual review of issuer and counterparty limits.
- Execute trading and investment transactions and record them in the appropriate systems.
- Prepare meetings, work closely with internal departments, and assist in evaluating financial and investment transactions.
- Maintain and improve electronic reporting systems, software tools, and processes, implementing legal and regulatory changes in treasury.
- Act as deputy for the department head during absences.
Candidate Profile
- Successfully completed higher education degree (e.g., economics, business mathematics) or equivalent qualification with a banking or finance focus.
- Extensive knowledge of securities and derivatives trading and a solid understanding of money and capital market mechanisms and banking operations.
- Excellent command of German (at least C2) in speaking and writing for clear communication and reliable application of internal policies and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills to make well-founded strategic decisions.
- High sense of responsibility with the ability to develop and implement clear, goal-oriented solutions.
- Problem-solving mindset and strong execution ability to proactively tackle challenges.
- Capability to maintain consistently high work quality even during demanding phases.
- Team player who enjoys cross-functional and interdisciplinary collaboration.
