About the Role
2Modern is searching for a strategic Brand Merchandising Manager to spearhead the expansion and success of a select group of luxury home furnishings brands. As the key leader for these brands, you will craft merchandising strategies, engage in business planning, and coordinate cross-team efforts to offer exceptional customer experiences while driving profitable growth.
You will foster strong, trust-based relationships with vendors, curate product assortments, spot growth prospects, and ensure each brand thrives within 2Modern's digital retail environment. Harnessing a balance between intuition and data analytics, you will leverage performance metrics, consumer behavior, and market trends to guide decisions and enhance results.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the health, progress, and strategic path of a designated portfolio of luxury brands.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with vendor partners, acting as their main business liaison.
- Lead planning related to assortments, conduct business reviews, manage promotional campaigns, set pricing strategies, and direct long-term growth efforts.
- Spot opportunities to deepen partnerships through informed and data-backed business advice.
- Ensure alignment with 2Modern’s merchandising criteria, operational processes, and brand presentation standards.
- Create thoughtfully curated assortments that align with customer demands, design innovation, and business results.
- Optimize product assortments by analyzing SKU productivity, identifying market gaps, managing product lifecycles, and rationalizing offerings.
- Assess opportunities for product line expansion, reduction, or new introductions based on profitability and market insights.
- Collaborate with leadership on launching new brands, seasonal merchandising campaigns, and initiatives to grow categories.
- Monitor competitor positioning, pricing structures, and industry developments to uphold 2Modern’s premium marketplace stance.
- Manage brand performance by continuously evaluating sales, gross profit, margins, returns, customer satisfaction, inventory, and operational KPIs.
- Convert analytic data into actionable strategies that boost profitability and enhance customer experience.
- Proactively identify risks, uncover opportunities, and predict emerging trends to drive growth or remedy underperformance.
- Back forecasting, promotion preparation, and business evaluations with comprehensive data support.
- Work closely with Marketing, Site Merchandising, Production, Operations, Trade, Customer Experience, and Executive teams to guarantee seamless customer journey execution.
- Ensure product launches are precise, merchandising quality meets company standards, and content is compelling and navigable.
- Coordinate marketing promotions, assortment changes, pricing updates, and operational enhancements across departments.
- Facilitate consensus on merchandising goals through open communication and shared objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in merchandising or category management, specifically within luxury home furnishings, lighting, furniture, or high-end consumer brands.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving assortment success, financial results, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Demonstrated analytical expertise with confidence in using data to impact merchandising decisions.
- Experience in fostering collaborative vendor relationships while balancing brand integrity and commercial goals.
- Exceptional organizational talent capable of managing several complex projects simultaneously.
- A refined aesthetic sense combined with a disciplined, customer-centric approach to product assortment planning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both internal teams and external partners effectively.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets; knowledge of Shopify and up-to-date eCommerce merchandising platforms is an advantage.
