Job Overview

This role centers on liaising with buyers and customers to understand product necessities, pricing, and delivery timelines. The merchandiser is entrusted with managing documentation such as order sheets, purchase orders, and product specifics vital for smooth merchandising operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a communication bridge between buyers/customers and internal teams to gather and confirm product requirements, specifications, prices, and delivery schedules.
• Generate and keep up-to-date order sheets, purchase orders, and detailed merchandising documents.
• Collaborate with various departments including design, sampling, production, quality assurance, sourcing, and logistics to ensure seamless workflow.
• Track and follow up on samples, approval processes, sourcing of raw materials, production phases, and shipment timelines.
• Guarantee that the finished products align with customer specifications by monitoring production quality and progress.
• Watch for production delays or complications and intervene when necessary to mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to meet materials and production requirements exactly.
• Keep constant tabs on order status to facilitate timely deliveries to customers.
• Inspect product quality and work with quality teams to address any discrepancies or concerns.
• Maintain precise records and compile reports on daily, weekly, and monthly bases for ongoing monitoring.
• Oversee costing and profit margins to ensure commercial viability of assigned orders.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and aid in resolving issues expediently.
• Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, market trends, pricing strategies, and customer preferences to keep the company well-positioned.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, and quality standards.
