Role overview
QatarEnergy LNG is planning a recruitment campaign in India in the latter part of 2026 for this position. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to an in-person interview; walk-in interviews will not be considered.
Job purpose
This role supports the Asset Maintenance team by providing maintenance planning services that help ensure activities and resource allocation are planned effectively. The goal is to enable smooth maintenance execution and improve the reliability of the operating facilities within the onshore assets, in line with company policies, procedures, instructions, and targets.
Key responsibilities
- Align maintenance planning work with maintenance KPIs and complete tasks on time to support operational effectiveness.
- Build detailed scopes of work for company work orders related to asset maintenance.
- Examine planned tasks to make sure requirements for materials, procurement, tools, equipment, labour, contracts, and logistics are properly identified and assigned.
- Review incoming notifications each day to confirm the information is complete enough for planning, define a realistic TFUC (Time Frame Under Consideration), support Latest Acceptable Completion Dates (LACD), verify amendment requests, and cancel duplicate work orders for the same equipment or functional location when needed.
- Capture all related costs in the work order before it is submitted for management approval.
- Raise MDG entries when materials or components are missing or incorrect in the SAP Bill of Materials (BOM) as part of work order planning.
- Prepare Material Return to Stock (MRS) for surplus or unused materials so they can be sent back to the warehouse.
- Confirm that planned work follows established company standards.
- Support the monthly PM review cycle 12 weeks in advance and prepare PM plans.
- Maintain the SAP PM task list library and update task lists for routine and major repetitive activities.
- Assist with work order close-out by setting the status to Technical Completion (TECO).
Qualifications
A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering is required.
Experience
The role calls for 7 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry, including 3 years in planning and/or scheduling positions.
Skills and tools
Strong written and spoken English, computer literacy, and familiarity with industry software such as SAP PM are needed.
