Role Overview
The role is for a technically skilled and motivated Master Planner with 5 to 7 years of professional experience to contribute to master planning and urban design projects. The position involves preparing planning layouts, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and assisting with submissions to planning authorities, especially within the UAE.
Key Duties
- Create master planning layouts, land-use strategies, and urban design drawings.
- Produce detailed drawings and technical documentation using software tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist in preparing Master Plan Local Submission (MPLS) and related documentation for regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate and follow up on planning approval processes with UAE regulatory bodies.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, landscape professionals, and other disciplines.
- Perform site analyses, zoning assessments, and development control evaluations.
- Develop presentations, diagrams, and reports utilizing Adobe Creative Suite.
- Incorporate feedback from planning authorities and adjust plans accordingly.
- Support senior planners throughout project phases from initial concept to final approval.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience in master planning or urban design.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with MPLS procedures and planning documentation standards.
- Some prior involvement with UAE planning approvals, preferably Dubai and/or Abu Dhabi jurisdictions.
- Effective coordination and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Professional experience within the UAE or broader GCC region.
- Understanding of Dubai and Abu Dhabi planning regulations and authority protocols.
- Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
