The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, involving tasks from filming the founder to editing social content, event organization, and content creation from technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Aperture’s social media and support the founder’s personal branding.
- Coordinate content calendar, write/edit LinkedIn posts, create video content, and develop recurring content formats.
- Repurpose event materials, talks, and conversations into multiple content pieces.
- Plan and execute events including dinners, panels, and talks; arranging venues, suppliers, speakers, managing budgets, guest lists, and event logistics.
- Host events to foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere and capture content pre- and post-event.
- Build networking relationships within app, tech, and marketing sectors.
- Develop and implement Aperture's marketing plan including identifying opportunities such as partnerships, podcasts, awards, and speaking engagements.
- Promote the company's work, team, expertise, and culture with new content formats and marketing channels.
- Monitor audience growth, engagement, inbound inquiries, and event success.
- Create systems to maintain marketing organization and momentum.
Candidate Profile
- Creative yet methodical, with strong organizational skills.
- Outgoing personality who enjoys networking and public engagement.
- Comfortable both in front of the camera and directing others during filming.
- Capable of independently filming, editing, writing, and publishing content.
- Keen sense of what content captures audience attention and drives engagement.
- Able to grasp complex topics, ask insightful questions, and highlight engaging angles.
- Works proactively in ambiguous situations without need for detailed instructions.
- Brings enthusiasm, original ideas, and strong follow-through.
Desired Experience
- Social media management and founder-led content creation.
- Copywriting and video production (filming/editing).
- Event planning and community engagement.
- Brand marketing and partnership development.
- Basic photography or graphic design skills.
Agency experience is not mandatory; emphasis is on demonstrable creative output. Familiarity with tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Canva, Figma, Notion, and AI applications for content research and creation is expected.
Additional Information
This is not a client-facing or agency oversight role. The successful candidate must be hands-on, undertaking tasks from filming to event execution personally.
The position is remote-first but requires regular presence in London for filming, events, and collaboration approximately twice per month. Knowledge of London's venues, neighborhoods, and event scenes is essential. Occasional travel across the UK and internationally for conferences and events is expected.
Working hours align with UK time zones, and readiness for last-minute travel or evening events is necessary.
