Role Overview
This hands-on position reports directly to the Marketing Manager and plays a pivotal role in executing daily marketing tasks. The Marketing Coordinator will assist in strategizing, designing, and deploying campaigns across digital, social, email, and content channels aimed at boosting brand visibility and driving bookings for major global sporting events.
This full-time onsite role based in North Sydney offers an excellent opportunity for early-career marketing professionals to gain significant responsibility and variety within an exciting product environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and implementation of multi-channel go-to-market campaigns including email, social media, paid media, and website content.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in maintaining a promotional and content calendar.
- Manage coordination of campaign materials, timelines, and approvals to ensure smooth execution.
- Create and schedule engaging posts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages in a brand-consistent manner.
- Support influencer outreach and partnerships.
- Track and report on social media metrics regularly.
- Develop, test, and send email campaigns as well as automated customer journeys using CRM tools.
- Maintain contact databases, perform segmentation, and ensure database cleanliness.
- Analyze email campaign performance including open rates and conversions, and communicate findings to the team.
- Write clear, compelling copy for social media, emails, website, and promotional assets.
- Assist with creative shoots, video production, and sourcing relevant event imagery.
- Ensure all marketing content aligns with brand guidelines in style and tone.
- Organize and manage the digital asset library.
- Update website content including event pages, packages, and blogs.
- Support SEO activities through keyword optimization and content enhancements.
- Help monitor and evaluate paid media campaigns such as Google Ads and Meta, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and share regular performance reports across marketing channels.
- Assist with marketing budget monitoring and manage supplier invoicing.
- Coordinate with external agencies, designers, and content producers.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in roles such as marketing coordinator, executive, or assistant.
- Strong familiarity with digital marketing channels, particularly social media, email, and content marketing.
- Experienced in using social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite or Later.
- Comfortable working with email marketing or CRM platforms, for example HubSpot or Mailchimp.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging and clear copy.
- Highly organised with acute attention to detail and adept at managing multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset, taking initiative without needing constant direction.
- Experience with design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- Genuine enthusiasm for sport, travel, or live events is a significant benefit.
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related area preferred.
