About the Role

A premier global healthcare manufacturing facility in Sligo is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join its engineering team on the night shift. This position suits engineering professionals who excel in fast-paced, regulated production environments and are eager to advance their expertise in high-tech settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and reliability of manufacturing equipment through hands-on operational support.
  • Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance on both manufacturing equipment and site services.
  • Coordinate equipment validation processes and maintain accurate engineering records.
  • Lead process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance production capability.
  • Work closely with site teams and external service providers to deliver engineering projects and support.
  • Track, evaluate, and report on engineering metrics and departmental objectives.
  • Uphold workplace health, safety, and environmental standards, and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Assist in addressing incidents and help establish corrective measures.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

  • Possession of a trade qualification or relevant degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing, engineering, or regulated production—preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, or the food sector.
  • Exceptional technical troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills.
  • Experience working both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Background supporting equipment or facilities in a regulated production setting is advantageous.
