Role Overview
We are seeking a Manual Test Analyst to provide comprehensive testing support throughout various technology and business transformation projects. This role involves end-to-end testing responsibilities covering technical deployments, infrastructure, and process changes, ensuring that all solutions are rigorously tested before release to production.
You will collaborate closely with project teams, stakeholders, and developers both in the UK and the US to plan and manage testing activities, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), oversee defect management, and deliver transparent reporting during the testing phases. You will also play a role in enhancing testing methodologies and helping teams standardize their testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and conduct functional, integration, regression, and non-functional tests for IT and business modification projects.
- Create detailed test documentation, including plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts, aligned with project and business requirements.
- Manage and coordinate UAT processes, from scheduling and participant communication to script handling and defect tracking.
- Oversee defect lifecycle management, partnering with technical and project personnel to facilitate prompt resolutions.
- Provide ongoing analysis and communication of testing progress, results, and quality metrics throughout project execution.
- Advise project teams on appropriate testing methodologies suitable for Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project frameworks.
- Encourage the use of automated testing where feasible and guide on best practices for its implementation.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements by suggesting enhancements to testing procedures, standards, and techniques.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Experience conducting manual testing in technology or business transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop test plans, cases, scenarios, and scripts.
- Expertise in coordinating UAT and managing tests involving business users.
- Skill in defect management throughout testing using structured approaches.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.
- Experience with system integration and comprehensive system testing.
- Capability to engage stakeholders and communicate testing tasks to support successful delivery.
Desirable:
- Certification in ISTQB Foundation or higher.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman or SOAPUI.
- Exposure to advocating or assisting with automated testing strategies.
- Experience collaborating with global teams.
- Involvement in creating release notes or user documentation.
Contract Details
- Position Type: 12-month fixed-term contract
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:15 PM
- Location: Hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days per week onsite with flexibility for additional days when needed
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: A340,000 to A345,000 annually
