Role Overview
This position supports business development and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activities while aiding in strategic planning and internal assessment of the groups portfolio assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead evaluation of projects and provide recommendations on M&A prospects to management and the Board.
- Manage comprehensive due diligence of M&A targets across financial, tax, legal, operational, IT, and other relevant areas; analyze findings and mitigate risks.
- Develop and review financial models for assessing M&A transactions; collaborate with internal departments to gather inputs.
- Examine legal documentation in conjunction with internal and external legal advisors; incorporate legal and regulatory considerations into deal structures.
- Lead or support negotiations concerning commercial and legal terms with transaction parties.
- Prepare and deliver documentation for internal project approvals as needed.
- Coordinate group-wide Balanced Scorecard (BSC) target setting and oversee quality, semi-annual, and annual reporting.
- Contribute to strategic development for the groups asset portfolio to realize corporate objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relations with joint venture partners and stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
- Monitor market developments and engage with external entities as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- More than 10 years of experience in transactions or corporate finance roles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
