Overview
Join ASB as a Manager Privacy, where you will play a pivotal role in defining and managing privacy risks within a dynamic environment influenced by technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, biometrics, and data sharing. Reporting directly to the Privacy Compliance Lead, you will contribute to enhancing the bank's privacy framework, providing expert guidance to business and technology teams, and ensuring adherence to an evolving privacy regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Working collaboratively across multiple departments including Risk, Legal, Technology, Data, and Procurement, you will lead privacy impact assessments, handle privacy issues, and support incident and breach management processes. Your role encompasses advising on complex projects to uphold compliance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and embedding privacy best practices throughout the organisation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in privacy, risk, compliance, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of privacy legislation and privacy risk management methodologies.
- Proven experience in evaluating privacy risks, managing incidents, and breach response.
- Capability to manage and adapt to intricate business and technological transformations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and persuasive communication skills.
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset combined with sound judgment.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to provide constructive challenges.
